چکیده

In this work, we introduce a notion of dissipative weak solution for system describing the evolution heat-conducting incompressible non-Newtonian fluid. This concept is based on balance entropy instead energy and has advantage that it admits weak–strong uniqueness principle, justifying proposed formulation. We provide proof existence solutions finite element approximations, thus obtaining first convergence result numerical scheme full evolutionary including temperature dependent coefficients viscous dissipation terms. Then proceed to prove property by means relative inequality.

Incompressible laminar flow - newtonian and non-newtonian fluids

The problems of incompressible flows dominate a large part of the fluid mechanics scene. For this reason, they are given special attention in this book and we devote two chapters to this subject. In the present chapter we deal with various steadystate and transient situations in which the flow is forced by appropriate pressure gradients and boundary forces. In the next chapter we shall consider...

Heat Transfer of Liquid/ Solid Fluidized Beds for Newtonian and Non-Newtonian Fluids

The excellent performance of fluidized bed heat exchangers is due to the interaction between particles and heat transfer surface and to the mixing effects in the viscous sublayer. In this paper, the results of experimental investigations on heat transfer for a wide range of Newtonian and non-Newtonian (shear-thinning power law) fluids are presented. New design equations have been developed ...

Planar Unsteady Flows of Incompressible Heat Conducting Shear Thinning Fluids

It is evident that behaviour of many fluids varies with varying temperature. We present mathematical properties of unsteady planar flows of shear thinning incompressible fluids where the change of the temperature influences the viscosity, which is at the same time shear thinning (power law fluids with power law index r − 2 < 0). Contrary of [2] (where a threedimensional flow is studied for 9/5 ...

On the motion of several rigid bodies in an incompressible non-Newtonian and heat-conducting fluid

Over the past years, there has been a great impulse in studying the motion of a rigid body. We would like to quote the work of Brenner [2] concerning the steady motion of one or more bodies in a linear viscous liquid in the Stokes approximation as well as Weinberger [18], [19], Serre [16] regarding the fall of a body in an incompressible Navier-Stokes fluid under the action of gravity and Borch...

Shape Sensitivity Analysis of Incompressible Non-Newtonian Fluids

We study the shape differentiability of a cost function for the steady flow of an incompressible viscous fluid of power-law type. The fluid is confined to a bounded planar domain surrounding an obstacle. For smooth perturbations of the shape of the obstacle we express the shape gradient of the cost function which can be subsequently used to improve the initial design.
